Our pastors Julie and Dave Heras have felt the heart of God for the city of Rahway. After years of serving the Lord in other ministry contexts (including children’s ministry -shout out to all the awesome Children’s Pastors out there!), they have felt the call in this season to plant a church that will join in God’s mission in the city of Rahway- demonstrating compassion, bringing salvation to the lost, and discipling believers.

Since getting hit by a station wagon at the age of 17 (and coming out of that with only a bruise!), Julie felt that God intervened to save her life and give her a purpose. She went on to become a social worker so that she could help children and youth in foster care. She most recently led children’s ministry in Cranford and planned and hosted several “Signs and Wonders” conferences for kids, reaching over 100 children and their families from across the region each year.

Dave started out as a teacher in the NJ public school system and has most recently become an elementary school principal. He brings his gift of teaching to the table whenever he speaks.

Instead of running away from the urban areas of our society, Julie and Dave want to run to them. God is moving to bring beauty and life to Rahway through community and the arts. They want Radiant City Church to be a part of bringing God’s love to this city.
