What to expect at a Radiant City Sunday Gathering

There are numerous places in the Bible that encourage believers to sing, shout, and declare their thanks to God, even with the accompaniment of musical instruments and all forms of expression. We believe that when we do so together as worshippers rather than spectators, we create an atmosphere for God’s presence to transform and work within and among us.

We believe that followers of Jesus should teach and encourage one another from the Word of God. We also believe that the Holy Spirit lives within each believer, enabling us to learn from and minister to one another. We look for opportunities to make room for this value when we come together, incorporating discussion and other ways to share, in the spirit of 1 Cor. 14:26.

We believe that the church should live out Christ’s admonition to “love our neighbors” in meaningful and tangible ways. The message must be lived, not just preached. We endeavor to care for the community at large through service projects, informing the church, and participating in advocacy efforts, serving alongside other community partners- for as Jesus said, “whatever you’ve done for the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me” (Matt. 25:40).

We believe that church is a place where believers are encouraged and equipped to love Jesus more and serve God wholeheartedly. Church should be a safe place, where people feel welcomed regardless of where they are in their spiritual journey and where our diversity is honored and celebrated, not viewed with suspicion or judgment. It should also be a place where we are challenged towards a lifestyle of holiness and Christ-like love in response to God’s forgiveness and mercy. This is a place where strangers become spiritual family as a witness to the world about the kingdom of God!
